If the handle is placed counterclockwise, the pressure regulating spring relaxes, the gas pressure acting on the diaphragm is greater than the spring force, the relief valve opens and the output pressure decreases until zero. The role of the feedback pipe is to improve the regulator accuracy of the regulator.
